HISTORY OF DIANE VON FÜRSTENBERG

HISTORY OF DIANE VON FÜRSTENBERG

It’s time to focus the True Fashionistas spotlight on the well-rounded life of Diane von Fürstenberg. We’re confident that shoppers of True Fashionistas, Naples' best consignment store, would love to know about the inventor of the iconic wrap dress. As it turns out, she’s so much more than that. Ms. Von Furstenberg has spent the latter part of her life upping her Third Act game. As philanthropist and author, Ms. von Fürstenberg continues to this day in her efforts to make as much of a difference in the world as she did for fashion earlier in her fabulous life.

BACK TO SCHOOL TAX-FREE SHOPPING PARTY

Did someone say tax-free shopping? Like magic, we start to drool just a little bit, and our hearts race as we sprint to True Fashionistas, the best designer consignment store, to score some deals for the young ones and a few for ourselves too. A sale’s a sale; just give us a reason!
MISSING THE FIRST MONDAY IN MAY

MISSING THE FIRST MONDAY IN MAY

It doesn’t get more depressing than this: Like everything else this crazy year, the 2020 Met Gala was canceled, or as they say, “postponed indefinitely”. The classic flurry of fashion, photographers and A-listers dressed to the True Fashionista nines was a non-entity, as the iconic First Monday in May came and went with eerie silence at New York’s currently shuttered Metropolitan Museum of Art.
HISTORY OF BURBERRY

HISTORY OF BURBERRY

Upon initial launch it was more about clothing functionality. THE RETURN OF THE FORMAL DINING ROOM

THE RETURN OF THE FORMAL DINING ROOM

Dining while binging Netflix has finally had its backlash. The whole eat ‘n run thing centering around the kitchen island may still have its place, but these days interior designers are focusing on the family and bringing it all back to that spot in the house where memories used to happen around a good ol’ meal, the True Fashionista dining room.

WHO THE MUSIC STARS ARE WEARING

WHO THE MUSIC STARS ARE WEARING

They’re cool and hip, talented and successful, and we’re not even talking about our fave designers, but rather the musicians wearing their True Fashionista creations. The ones rocking it onstage, online and in print for legions of adoring fans. You have to admit, its def one way to put a designer in the spotlight. HISTORY OF HALSTON

HISTORY OF HALSTON

Perhaps it’s images the many photos of stars of the day all hanging with the man himself, sporting his trademark sunglasses. SWEATERS AND HOW TO WEAR ‘EM

Whether you live in our home base of southwest Florida or the more temperate environs up north, there’s always a need for a sweater or two… or 10. Fall is roaring back. There’s no ignoring all the orange merch in stores, and was that a cool breeze the other day? In our Florida digs, we were TOO excited about that one! It actually made us think about…pants! Those of us who get to deal with winter on a more personal basis know the importance of keeping a collection of two-legged True Fashionista wonders each season; in warmer environs they’re merely an option. Either way, it’s good to know what to look for this year to go with your Madden Girls and Vejas.
